If you are a regular visitor to my site, you probably know where to find everything.   To the right of this page, there is a column that has a regular 'blog' if you like.  There you can learn more about me, my profession and what my experiences are as an elite triathlete.  You can check out my latest race relsults and photos, as well as information about my sponsors and my race schedule. Thanks for taking the time to look at my website.  Please pop by frequently to see whats happening in my 'Triathlon World', and who knows, I may even see you out there at a race some time soon.
All the best with your 2010 race preparations.

Leanda Cave "A special "Thank You" to all the support I receive from family, friends, and sponsors.  Being a Professional Triathlete would not be possible without you all.

Charity - ALS

On Feb 6, 2010 I took part in the annual ALS Spin-A-Thon to help raise money for the Blazeman Foundation for ALS.  With the combined efforts of the Forward Motion Race Club and Sports Club San Ramon, California, we raised over US\$14,000.  I also put on a fundraiser late 2009 and raised around US\$14,000 for The Blazeman Foundation for ALS.

So a big thank you to all my sponsors (K-Swiss, Accelerade, Endurox R4, Forze GPS, Pinarello, Trisports.com, Giro, Blueseventy, Nuun, Katalyst Multisport Management and Compuart) and fellow athletes/friends for all you donations to The Great Athlete Auction.

I support the Blaseman Foundation which is a charity set up to help raise money and awareness for the War On ALS.  It was founded by Jon Blais (Blazeman) and his parents, Mary-Ann and Bob.  Jon was a keen triathlete, but sadly, he lost his battle with ALS (a neurological disease) in May 2007.  But not before he battled through the Hawaii Ironman in 2006.  Jon achieved a lifelong dream while also making a great contribution to the aiding those who suffer from ALS.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jon and his parents at the 2006 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater.   His story and struggle inspired me and it touched my heart (and left me in tears).

tuned to my website to find out some exciting ways you can help me to help ALS sufferers.
